CENSCIENCE.Founded in 2009, CENSCIENCE entered the tunnel boring machine manufacturing sector in 2011 and specializes in the research, development, and manufacturing of shield machines and TBMs. The company occupies a site of 220 mu (approximately 14.7 hectares) with a building area of 60,000 square meters. It features eight production workshops equipped with a systematic array of large-scale CNC machining centers, a comprehensive assembly line system, and an experienced technical team, employing a total of 1,000 staff members. The factory is divided into a welding center, a machining center, a sub-assembly center, and a final assembly center, enabling highly efficient assembly-line operations. The final assembly center features 8 workstations, with an annual production capacity of up to 100 units. CENSCIENCE is one of the few companies worldwide with the capability to produce “all types and all diameters” of tunnel boring machines. The company’s product portfolio covers five major categories: earth pressure balance, slurry balance, hard rock TBMs, special-shaped shield machines, and vertical shield machines, with diameters ranging from 2 meters to 24 meters. The products are widely used in metro systems, municipal utility tunnels, highways, railways, water conservancy, energy, mining, underground parking garages, and defense industries. They have been deployed in the vast majority of Chinese cities constructing metro systems and are exported to countries and regions including the United Kingdom, Russia, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, the United States, Canada, and Australia.
