CENSCIENCE.CENSCIENCE was established in 2009 and entered the tunnel boring machine manufacturing sector in 2011, specializing in the production of shield machines/TBMs for tunnel excavation. Spanning 220 acres with 60,000 square meters of floor space, CENSCIENCE operates eight production workshops equipped with a comprehensive suite of large CNC machining centers, a complete assembly line platform, and a highly skilled workforce totaling 1,000 employees. The facility is divided into welding, machining, subassembly, and final assembly centers to enable streamlined production. The final assembly center features eight workstations with an annual production capacity of 100 units. CENSCIENCE ranks among the world's few manufacturers capable of producing “all types and all diameters” of tunnel boring machines. Its product portfolio encompasses five major categories: earth pressure balance, slurry balance, hard rock TBMs, special-shaped shields, and vertical shields, spanning diameters from 2 to 24 meters. These products are extensively applied in metro systems, municipal utility tunnels, highways, railways, water conservancy, energy, mining, underground parking facilities, and military projects. They have been deployed in most Chinese cities constructing subways and exported to countries and regions including the UK, Russia, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, the USA, Canada, and Australia.
