The integration of China's cylinder industry and energy storage industry is taking compressed air energy storage (CAES) as the core carrier, achieving a transition from 'passive matching' to 'system level energy regulation'. In the new CAES system, high-precision cylinders serve as key execution components for compressors and expanders, responsible for stable compression, sealing release, and pressure regulation of high-pressure air. They support the 101MW domestic compressor to achieve 88.1% ultra-high efficiency and wide operating conditions. Their pressure resistant sealing structure and low leakage design directly determine the energy conversion efficiency of the system. In the field of electrochemical energy storage, although cylinders do not participate in the energy storage body, they are widely used in safety subsystems such as battery module automation handling, temperature control air valve drive, emergency pressure relief and ventilation linkage, which comply with the mandatory requirements for gas monitoring and mechanical linkage in the 'Design Standards for Electrochemical Energy Storage Power Stations' (GB/T 51048-2025) implemented in April 2026. SMC、 Festo and other companies have achieved millisecond level response in energy storage production lines through modular valve islands and intelligent pneumatic actuators, reducing operation and maintenance costs by more than 30%. Domestic cylinder manufacturers are breaking through high-pressure durability and explosion-proof sealing technology, promoting the upgrade of pneumatic systems from 'execution units' to 'energy buffering nodes', providing high reliability and low-cost mechanical energy storage execution bases for long-term energy storage.
