Under the empowerment of 5G technology, the Chinese engineering seismometer industry is undergoing a paradigm shift from the traditional mode of 'single point, offline, post-processing' to 'networking, real-time, and intelligence'. The characteristics of high bandwidth, low latency, and wide connectivity of 5G networks have completely solved the bottleneck of real-time and synchronous transmission of massive seismic waveform data. This enables the intensive monitoring nodes distributed in mountains, bridges, tunnels and mining areas to form a real-time perception 'neural network', and data can be uploaded to the cloud or edge computing center in milliseconds. Combined with AI algorithms, the system can perform real-time intelligent recognition and warning of geological risks such as microseismicity and landslides, achieving a leap from 'post analysis' to 'mid event intervention'. In major national projects such as the Sichuan Tibet Railway and the South to North Water Diversion Project, the deep integration of 5G and seismometers is building an integrated engineering safety perception system of 'air space ground', significantly improving the disaster prevention and mitigation capabilities and the overall life cycle safety management level of infrastructure.
