Over the past decade, China's weighing apparatus industry has undergone a systematic transition from traditional manufacturing to intelligence and digitalization. The market scale has continued to expand, with the market value of electronic scales in China reaching 18.351 billion yuan in 2025. The export proportion of intelligent weighing equipment has increased from 26% in 2023 to 35%. The localization rate of high-precision sensors and chips has significantly improved, accelerating the import substitution of mid-to-high-end products. Technologically, the Internet of Things, AI, and big data have been deeply integrated into weighing systems. Unmanned weighbridges and full-process digital platforms (such as Heng'an ETS) have achieved closed-loop management of 'vehicle-goods-site-ERP', with weighing efficiency increased by over 90% and anti-cheating capability reaching 99%. Strongly driven by policies, 'Smart Manufacturing 2025' and the construction of key industrial chains for intelligent weighing apparatus and metrology in Hunan have given birth to industrial clusters such as Hengyang. The National Metrology and Testing Center and vocational education are collaboratively developing a talent system. Leading enterprises such as Mettler-Toledo and Yajin Intelligent dominate the high-end market, while small and medium-sized enterprises focus on innovation in segmented scenarios. The industry is undergoing an ecological transformation from equipment sales to 'hardware + platform + data services'.
