In the past decade, China's powder metallurgy products industry has achieved a systematic transition from 'traditional manufacturing' to 'high-end intelligent manufacturing' through technological innovation. The core path focuses on four dimensions: material breakthroughs, process integration, intelligent upgrading, and green closed-loop. On the material side, Central South University, Jinchuan Group, and others have overcome new powder preparation technologies such as high entropy alloys, K438 high-temperature alloys, and spherical Ta-15.0W, breaking the import dependence of key components such as aircraft engine turbine disks and rocket nozzles. The localization rate has exceeded 60% in the high-end field. At the process level, companies such as Sublimation 3D have pioneered the 'Powder Extrusion 3D Printing (PEP)' technology, integrating MIM sintering technology to achieve near net forming of complex components made of refractory metals such as tungsten and tantalum, with a material utilization rate of up to 98%, breaking the geometric limitations of traditional pressing processes. In terms of intelligent manufacturing, Dongmu Co., Ltd. and Shandong Luyin New Materials have built 5G intelligent factories, deployed AI visual quality inspection and digital twin systems, achieved a suppression accuracy of ± 0.01mm, reduced the scrap rate to 0.8%, and increased production efficiency by more than three times. On the application side, Shenzhen Ailijia has achieved mass production of titanium alloy MIM precision parts using graphite hot field sintering technology, supplying consumer electronics giants such as Huawei and Xiaomi. The amount of powder metallurgy used per vehicle has exceeded 8.3kg in new energy vehicles. The entire industry has built a 'research and development pilot testing industrialization' ecosystem, with nearly 60% energy savings in the near net forming process, a waste powder recovery rate of over 95%, and a carbon traceability system becoming a new threshold for EU exports. By 2024, the market size will reach 86.35 billion yuan, accelerating the shift from 'global OEM' to 'standard setter'.
