In the past decade, China's protective device industry has accelerated its overseas expansion, achieving a transition from 'product output' to a systematic output of 'technology+standards+services'. The export scale continues to expand, with the export value of high-voltage switches and control devices reaching 28.01 billion yuan from January to September 2025, a year-on-year increase of 32.4%; Huaming Equipment's overseas revenue has tripled in three years, accounting for over 20% of the total revenue. The export of communication and protection devices from provinces such as Fujian has remained among the top in the country, with a growth rate of over 20% in the ASEAN and Latin American markets. The core technology is fully integrated with international standards, and enterprises such as Guodian Nanrui and Xuji Electric have taken the lead in passing the IEC 61850 Ed2.1 international A-level certification, achieving breakthroughs in key functions such as multi version communication protocol adaptation and GOOSE dynamic coding, supporting the stable operation of overseas intelligent substations. Major projects have deeply penetrated, with Guodian Nanrui landing a digital substation in Russia, Xuji Electric's star flashing switchgear entering the German offshore wind power project, Pinggao Electric providing ultra-high voltage GIS equipment for 'Longdian entering Zhejiang', and Zhongdian Xinlong successfully entering the Zambian chemical power grid. The policy and standard are driven by two wheels, the 'the Belt and Road' power cooperation, export credit insurance, and the development of IEC relay test standards (IEC 63522 series) led by China have significantly improved the voice. The industry is transforming from a 'substitute' to a 'rule maker', building a full chain overseas ecosystem covering research and development, certification, delivery, and operation.
