The integration of China's 5G base station equipment industry and 5G networks has entered a deep collaborative stage led by 5G Advanced (5G-A). By the end of 2025, the total number of 5G base stations in China will reach 4.838 million, and it is expected to exceed 5 million by 2026, accounting for more than 60% of the global total. Huawei and ZTE together hold about 85% of the market share, leading the evolution of cloud and open architecture. The device technology fully embraces CU/DU separation, network slicing, and Open RAN, achieving flexible deployment and dynamic resource allocation of wireless access networks; The AI driven intelligent energy-saving technology has reduced the energy consumption of base stations by more than 20%. The integrated sensing base station has achieved the integration of communication and low altitude target detection functions, and has been implemented in scenarios such as drone logistics and smart ports. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology continues to promote the '5G+Industrial Internet' strategy. In 2026, it will focus on deploying 5G-A and RedCap base stations to support the reduction of industrial control delay to within 4ms. In vertical industries, enterprises such as Changan Automobile and Jiujiang Petrochemical have achieved full equipment connectivity, AGV collaborative scheduling, and AI visual quality inspection through 5G private networks, building an 'end-to-end cloud' collaborative intelligent manufacturing system, and promoting the evolution of production processes from automation to adaptation. Currently, base station equipment is being upgraded from communication infrastructure to the core nodes of digital twins and computing networks, but cross vendor device interoperability and industry customization standards still need to be unified.
