In the past decade, China's metal container industry has deeply integrated into the new energy sector, forming a fusion paradigm centered on lightweight materials, structural innovation, intelligent manufacturing, and a recycling system. In the field of power batteries, aluminum shells and trays have fully replaced traditional steel structures. High-strength steel roll-pressed boxes and aluminum-coated magnesium-zinc plates have become mainstream materials for energy storage containers. By 2025, the demand for aluminum materials driven by energy storage systems will reach 710,000 tons, with the penetration rate of aluminum shells for single cells exceeding 90%. At the material level, 'replacing steel with aluminum' and 'replacing spraying with coating' have been achieved, enhancing energy density through lightweighting and prolonging lifespan through corrosion resistance. At the structural level, through integrated molding and liquid cooling technology, the energy density of battery packs has been increased by over 15%. At the manufacturing level, relying on 5G+ industrial internet, companies such as Xizhuang Co., Ltd. and Minsheng Heavy Industry have established intelligent welding production lines. The accuracy rate of AI visual quality inspection exceeds 98%, and unmanned cranes and digital twin systems enable 'black light factory' operations, reducing production takt time by 30%. The national 'Work Plan for Stabilizing Growth in the Nonferrous Metals Industry' promotes the 100% recyclability of metal packaging, accelerating the construction of a closed-loop utilization system. The industry is evolving from being a 'packaging supplier' to becoming a technology definer for core structural components of new energy equipment.
